Africa’s first ever appointed Professor Extraordinaire for supply and value chain management
Professor Douglas BOATENG (MSc, EngD, FCILT, FSOE, FIPlantE, FCMI, FIC, FInst.D FIOM FCIPS, FIoD, CDir), Africa’s first ever appointed Professor Extraordinaire for supply and value chain management (SBL UNISA), is an International Professional certified Chartered Director, CEO of PanAvest and Partners and an adjunct academic. He is also the Chairperson of the Public Procurement Authority of Ghana the only legislated body in the country task with overseeing public sector procurement in relation to amongst others; value for money, empowerment and industrialization. Independently recognised as one of the vertical specific global strategic thinkers on procurement, governance, logistics, and industrial engineering in the context of supply and value chain management, he continues to play a leading academic and industrial role in supply chain strategy development and implementation, both in Africa, and around the world. Revenues of companies that have directly and indirectly benefited from his expertise ranges from $1m to $40 BILLION USD.
