Matodzi Ratshimbilani has over 20 years’ experience as a commercial lawyer specialising in Public Law (including public sector procurement), Company Law, Corporate Governance with a special focus on state owned entities and general commercial law. Matodzi worked as an attorney and director of some of South Africa’s largest law firms before founding TGR Attorneys, a Sandton based boutique commercial law firm in 2011.
Matodzi has advised some of South Africa largest state owned companies on procurement and corporate governance matters including Eskom, Transnet, SABC, South African Airways, Trans Caledonian Tunnel Authority, Public Investment Corporation, ATNS , SA Express, Sanparks, Broadband Infraco, South African Post Office, CIDB, Housing Development Agency, and may others throughout his career
Matodzi has served as a director of state-owned entities including 5 years at Denel SOC Limited and 4 years at the Railway Safety Regulator where he served as a chairman. He currently serves as a Director of the Gauteng Cricket Board and the Kouga Wind Farm Community Trust.
