Procurement Manager

The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the capital and operational procurement activities of PPECB in support of the attainment of its strategic objectives. I hold a Cost and Management degree and in progress to complete the MCIPS. I have extensive 12 years procurement experience from both private and public sector having worked in the construction sector and financial sector at Capitec Bank before joining PPECB. I have been with PPECB in different roles interacting at all levels of the organisation in managing both direct and indirect categories of spend.

Responsible for development and implementation of procurement governance framework, procurement strategy and ESD strategy throughout the value chain. I am responsible for providing strategic and operational direction to the procurement team in the procurement of goods and services across the business. I have been responsible for the transformation of procurement in PPECB from transactional disintegrated status to that of category management and strategic sourcing approach with particular focus on adding value and customer partnering. I am driven by the huge responsibility that procurement has with regard to contributing immensely to the triple-bottom line with particular passion to support SMME’s as necessity rather than a mere CSI exercise in the South African context. I have entrepreneurial interests particularly in the energy, steel and telecommunication sectors.
