Emmanuel is Deputy Executive Director of Afcfta Policy Network, and an ECOWAS and AU Policy Analyst with cumulative experience of the African Union, ECOWAS, UNECA, OECD Sahel West Africa Club.
He has been a member of the Agenda 2063 Media Network since 2017, and of the African Peer Review Mechanism Communicator’s Network since May 2019.
In 2014, Emmanuel dreamed up East Africa Rising (EAR) on the shores of Lake Kivu while on a media familiarization tour of Rwanda. It has become an innovative membership- and campaign-based digital platform seeking to unite African professionals across 22 countries across East, West and Southern Africa.
In 2015, Emmanuel established the innovative “Ecowas@40Podcast”, a segment on “Africa in Focus Show”, to help listeners appreciate education and knowledge of ECOWAS as it celebrated 40 years.
Since 2016, Emmanuel has moderated at international conferences, including AU’s Regional Youth Consultation in Abuja in 2017; NEPAD’s Africa Environment Partnership Programme (AEPP) in Nairobi; and in Dakar, where he moderated a session on “Institutional Architecture of the African Continental Free Trade Area” (#AfCFTA) at a Stakeholder’s Forum for Private Sector and Civil Society in November 2018.
In November 2019, Emmanuel was asked to moderate the Second Edition of the Arusha Symposium, which focused on AfCFTA and the AU’s Free Movement of People Protocol.
