Biography

Alexis Strader

Alexis is an international development professional with ten years of experience in global health programs. The past seven years of her career have been devoted to strengthening health supply chains in low and middle-income countries.

Alexis joined the People that Deliver as the Project Officer in April 2018, where she advises ministries of health and supply chain organizations in low- and middle-income countries on improved human resources for public health supply chain management policies and practices. She collaborates closely with a member coalition of 26 organizations including UN agencies, governments, academic institutions, and private sector companies.

Prior to joining People that Deliver, Alexis was based in Dakar, Senegal, where she worked at Dimagi managing mobile health projects for clients across the region. Of note, she provided capacity-building support to the National Pharmacy Association in Senegal as they revamped their supply chain management mobile technology.

Alexis has also worked with several public health non-governmental organizations, including Population Services International (PSI), and John Snow, Inc. (JSI). It was at JSI where Alexis first realized her passion for health supply chain programs.

Alexis earned a Master’s in Business Administration and a master’s in International Development from American University in Washington, DC, and a bachelor’s degree in Romance Languages from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is based in Copenhagen, Denmark.
